"Easy enough, did exactly what I needed"
Booked my tickets on irishrail.ie and didn’t pay much attention to anything beyond the basics. I just wanted clear train times, an easy payment, and the tickets in my inbox, and that’s exactly what happened. The process was straightforward, no hassle, and the email tickets arrived pretty much straight away. I’d use it again.

"Handy enough, but delays can be annoying tbh"
I use Irish Rail for work now and then, and tbh it’s grand most days. When the trains are on time, it’s really handy and makes the commute way less stressful. But the reliability can be a bit hit or miss, and I’ve had a few delays where there wasn’t much info given, which is frustrating when you’re trying to plan your day. The staff are usually sound, I just wish the updates were better and the service was more consistent overall...

"Handy for checking trains"
I use Irish Rail a few times a week, and, the times on Irish Rail have been really accurate for me. It’s handy to check the train before I leave the house, and it’s usually bang on, even with the platform info too. No messing around so far, just a simple enough site, and it does what I need

I used Irish Rail last week and, i just had a good feeling about the trip from the start. The station staff were helpful, there was visible security around, and the train itself was calm and clean. No hassle, no weird vibes, just a smooth journey. I’d definitely use them again

"decent enough, but not super comfy"
i’ve taken Irish Rail a few times now, and the comfort is just okay. the seats aren’t awful, but on longer trips they start to feel hard and a bit cramped. the train itself was clean enough and wasn’t too noisy, which i appreciated. still, a bit more leg room and better padding on the seats would make the journey a lot nicer

I took Irish Rail last week and was genuinely impressed with how clean the train was. The seats looked fresh, the floors and tables were tidy, and I didn’t notice any rubbish lying around at all. Even the toilet was in decent condition, which isn’t always something you can count on when travelling by train. It made the whole journey feel more relaxed and comfortable. Fair play to the cleaning staff, they’re clearly putting in the effort

"Surprisingly painless refund"
I had to cancel my train at the last minute and was fully expecting the refund to turn into a whole annoying process. But I filled out the form on irishrail.ie, made sure all the little details like the booking reference and travel date were right, and that was pretty much it. The money came back faster than I expected, and there wasn’t any back-and-forth or confusion. it was a relief that it was so straightforward.

"Worked fine, but a bit slower than I expected"
I was able to find tickets without much trouble, so it did what I needed it to do. I just expected the pages to load a little faster, and a few of them were slow at times. Overall it was okay, but the browsing experience could be smoother.

"Handy for getting around most of the time"
I use Irish Rail fairly often, and to be honest, it really depends on where you’re heading. If you’re travelling between the bigger towns and cities, the route coverage is handy and I can usually get where I need to go without too much hassle. For more out-of-the-way places it might not be as convenient, but for my usual journeys it works well. The website is easy enough to use too when checking times or planning a trip.

The toilets were clean, which was nice, but the limited seating was frustrating. It felt like there just weren’t enough places to sit down, especially when it got a bit busy, and that kind of took away from the overall experience.

"The train was, uh, packed and…"
The train was, uh, packed and I ended up standing for most of the ride. Still, it left on time and the staff were friendly enough. Not the most comfortable trip with the crowd, but it got me where I needed to go without any hassle
